The Bureau of Air and Coastal Operations (BACO) is responsible for managing airborne and waterborne incidents that occur throughout Blaine County and Los Santos County, acting as a direct subdivision of the Blaine County Sheriff's Department. The Bureau conducts regular law enforcement duties alongside additional responsibilities including, but not limited to, search and rescue operations, SOG deployments, medical transports and much, much more. The Bureau is a large, complex subdivision with many counterparts to supplement its operations. Vehicles utilized include helicopters, planes, boats and all-terrain vehicles, all of which serve great importance in BACO's mission to preserve life.

The organizational structure (attached) exhibits the various arms of the Bureau of Air and Coastal Operations.
Commands are overseen by a Lieutenant Commander and Operations are overseen by an Operations Coordinator. Furthermore, under Operations exist rotational rosters for each aircraft and watercraft. These rosters are managed by Team Leaders. In order to operate a vehicle, you must undergo extensive training to become a certified Pilot Officer (AIRCOM) or Helmsman Officer (MARCOM).
Air Support Operations and Marine Support Operations are currently nonoperational.
